Hoo boy, finally returning to the digital scene after a good long while... Still, I have to say, I really like how this turned out - a piece crafted for a close friend of mine, featuring her Danganronpa OC, Yami! I admittedly haven't played the series myself, but I've heard a lot of good things about it... Either way, putting together this beauty was well worth the effort. I always love working with other people's characters, and my friend in particular never disappoints.
So, The Hero was announced for Super Smash Bros the other day, and being a huge fan of Dragon Quest in general, it only felt right to do a little something for the occasion - featuring one of my favorite designs in the series! I'm considering doing the other three that make up the Heroes playable in the game, but we'll see how things play out.
An awesome sprite I had the honor of putting together for a close friend's birthday - of her original character, Ephie. This marks the first time I've done both a camo pattern and the return of a much more complicated style of sprite than I usually do.
Still, I think I've made enough progress over time that I can start adding these to my list of commission products... In fact, I've done just that! If you're interested in getting one of these beauties for yourself, head on over to the commissions page and take a look! Just some practice/fan art material I've been working with over the past several days in my efforts to try and draw more regularly. True, I don't have enough time to color these more often than not, but I'd like to think my overall composition and abilities are improving, at least.
From left to right we have Shantae (in honor of the series' 17th anniversary), Sonia (from the upcoming Pokemon Sword and Shield), and of course, Carrie. //---------- Also, I have a Patreon up and running now! If you'd like to support me, go take a look via that handy button above! There's lots of benefits for becoming a Patron, like having access to early updates, reference materials, and even being able to participate in monthly challenges and the development of my future game projects - with many more on the way! A little sketch I decided to throw together using a random prompt (that gave me "coffee witch", of all things), hence this little beauty right here. I'm admittedly not sure if she's actually magical or just works in some kind of themed cafe, but I like the design regardless... I'm always tempted to make a set of characters with things like this, but I guess we'll see how that plays out as time goes on. (Also, I'm currently calling her Maggie)
Hell, this took some time to finally finish up... In any case, in honor of Shantae 5's announcement, I thought it would be fun to go back and redo an old piece of mine for the occasion. (Also, first time drawing fire!) I have to say, in the wake of all the practice I've been undertaking lately, I really like how this turned out. I'm honestly pretty tempted to make this my default style...
Finally back! After months of real life getting in the way and experimenting in my spare time, I've been able to sit down and put together a more proper piece at long last. (And lord, does it feel good.) I know ol' Carrie's nothing new around here, but I figured she'd be the best choice to incorporate everything I've been learning lately.
Now, admittedly it feels like things haven't changed too much in terms of my actual style, but I've been making a lot of little tweaks that I'm actually kind of proud of, and I hope that things only continue to improve from here. Thought I'd come back here with something a little different this time. I've been studying the heck out of some new techniques lately and doing my best to fit in some practice where I can. I'm still sort of in the early stages of figuring this out, but I can't wait to do a more proper piece later down the line.
Thought I'd break out an old character of mine to try out some softer shading techniques this time around. I have to say, all things considered, I really like how this turned out.
Man, I got this requested of me ages ago, but I've only just recently been able to finish it... I'm also not the most experienced with back views, but all things considered, I'd say this came out pretty solidly. To the person who requested this, I'm really sorry it took so long. Life kept getting in the way, you know?
That being said, though, I'd actually love to do a more thorough version of this someday... With her armored version, some additional expressions and all that. |
