Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to our sound designer recently... I won't name names out of respect for what they do, but sadly the involvement in Lament's production simply wasn't there on their end and I was met without any other choice... I genuinely wish I didn't have to go through with it, though.
Of course, that also means we'll need someone else to fill the void eventually, but in the meantime we'll be able to make due with the current resources at our disposal. However, if there happens to be any sound designers looking for the experience, we'd be happy to audition you! I unfortunately can't promise financial compensation - not at first, anyway, but rest assured I will do everything in my power to make it worth your while. Your efforts will not go uncompensated or unappreciated.

Lord above, it's been a long time... My deepest apologies, everyone!
Truth be told, life's been nothing short of busy lately - between schooling and Lament's development - so maintaining this website had sadly fallen by the wayside in all that chaos. Still, with a new year comes new opportunities, and with the summer finally upon us I thought now was as good of a time as any to finally dust off this place, give it a nice overhaul and get things rolling again! First and foremost, Lament's page will be seeing a lot of updates as we continue to move forward with its production - lots of new content, art, gameplay and other goodies await, so be on the lookout! Beyond that, I'll also be overhauling the gallery as well - updating the hell out of it with new pieces, and just generally making everything look nicer. There will also be more website integration to better link this site together with my various social media platforms (as well as Midnight Dame's). There's lots to do, but lots to look forward to - and I hope you guys are just as excited as I am! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, all!
Finally had some time to write out a proper update, so I figured I'd go ahead and do just that. So, in the midst of a seemingly endless stream of commissions, personal drama and just generally trying to get my life back together, I've been tinkering away with Lament whenever I find myself with the time. More specifically, I'm working out the world's map(s) and the overall progression of things... Currently, I'm working with the idea that every major boss or significant enemy encounter will grant the player the ability to choose between two different skills to add to their arsenal - but choose wisely, because whatever you pick will be what you're stuck with for that entire playthrough! Of course, I want to take full advantage of what a system like this will allow for, so keep an eye out for future updates and teasers. In the meantime, I plan to jump back into my usual brand of art and other creative goodies at as full of a force as I can manage, complete with a lot more intractability like polls and other community-focused events to carry this site into the new year! This site's officially up and running again, ladies and gents. At last, the season of heat-death has arrived! And as a special treat for the occasion, I'm offering up a sale on all of my commission-related material for the entire month of July!
Purchase any type of commission and automatically get 15% off! This includes the discounts already applied to the package character sprite deals as well, so if for example you were to purchase three large sprites, you'd get the initial deal at $63.75 plus an additional 15% discount - resulting in a mere $54.19 for the entire purchase! Also, be on the lookout for special 25% off deals sprinkled all throughout the month! Have you ever wanted a massive, detailed sprite of a character of your choosing? Well, now you can!
This is an item I've wanted to add to my available options for a long while now, and I'm so glad I've finally hit a point where I'm capable of producing beauties like the ones above. They cost a fair sum, around $40 at starting price, but at least you'll have a really cool sprite to call your own as a result! (Head on over to the Commissions page for details) Holy heck, a lot has been going down lately.
First and foremost, I got a job! It's only part-time, but that's been a fun experience all around... Still eats up a good chunk of my time, too. Second, I wanted to apologize for my lack of creative output, but I've been dedicating myself to completing Underfell over these several weeks - as well as taking time to improve my hand-drawn technique... Needless to say, all of this combined has had my schedule pretty full until something calms down. Fortunately, Underfell should be over soon-ish (hopefully), and then at long last, I can finallly set to work on what my real plan was for this year... At last, 2019 is here! I hope everyone had an awesome holiday season and New Year's.
With that out of the way, though, I'm pleased to announce that some much-needed updates are coming to this site as well. It's been a while, and I've fallen a bit behind with a lot of the things I've been aiming to tweak for some time. What's important for you guys to be aware of in the meantime, though, is that I'm currently making an effort to learn Unity for the sake of finally getting a particular project off the ground - if you were here during that old color scheme poll I did a while back, you know which one I'm talking about. Progress will likely be slow, but I'm not about to let a project die that easily. Once things get rolling properly though, I want to start getting you all in on the action as well - including future polls for potential content, the chance to provide feedback, and to those who donate over on my Patreon, something extra special. Here's to a bright year on the horizon! Yes, the time has come once again, ladies and gents! Commissions are now officially open and ready to go! And this time, I'm also offering the option to purchase banners and avatars/logos for your social media!
So if you're interested, feel free to check out and browse the options at your disposal over on the "Commissions" page. So, in the wake of my recent setup for this second wave of commissions, I’ve unfortunately had a few significant snags with the current Terms and Conditions come up that really need to be addressed and ironed out before I can feel comfortable officially opening everything up - some tweaks to the payment methods, the commissions queue, and some aspects to my overall approach in a nutshell.
As a bit of a trade-off, though, I’ve also had some awesome new content suggested to me that I’ll be adding as well, so you guys will have that to look forward to. Plus, this delay likely won’t be longer than a few days or so; Just enough time to make absolutely sure everything is prepped and ready to go. At absolute most, I’m currently aiming to open things up on the 8th, but I’ll send out a proper announcement regardless. Sorry for any inconvenience, and thank you so much for your patience! Hello, all!
It's been a while, huh...? In the midst of a rather time-consuming job and the semester as a whole, the time available for regular updates has been scarce... However, I'll finally be freed up again come this November, so in honor of the occasion, I've decided to do another round of Commissions starting November 4th! If you're interested in taking advantage of this opportunity, then feel free to review my offers, proceedings and terms on the "Commissions" page in the meantime. Slots are few, so be sure to have your requests ready as soon as you can! |
